The highly anticipated Explore Fashion awards finall went down in Bungoma over the weekend after years of postponment.
The annual gala, which took place on Saturday 18 December, 2021 at Tourist Hotel Bungoma, saw fashion designers and models from across Western Kenya showase their prowess in creativity to thousands of enthusiasts.
After two years missing in action due to the Covid-19 pandemic that had crippled the whole world, fashion lovers could not wait anymore as pressure mounted on the organisers to stage the gala by all means.
Explore Fashion Awards is a fashion event aimed at taking the fashion industry of Western Kenya to higher level through showcasing creative outfits from designers in and out of the Region.
The awards also seeks to provide motivation and inspiration to participants as well as red carpet interviews and much more.
The glamorous awards premiered in 2018 with an amazing turn up having brought people from different walks of life in the fashion world under one roof.
The youthful organisers, led by Elsie Gakuo, Debrah Kisongochi, Veronicah Sisela, Billy Wamukota and Adelide Waswa, thanked the fans and supporters for the amazing affection towards the EFA, promsing to make it bigger next time.
Among the sponsors of the event were Galsy Fashion, Billy Events and Adventure, Kay Fish & Fast Foods Bungoma, Tandao TV, Deyena Enterprise, Blend, Jayade Homes as well as Familyfair Photograhy.

- Fashion Photographer of the year – Vinmoh Photography – Tranzoia County.
- Hair Stylist of the year – Salim Adaro – Bungoma County.
- Male model of thr year – Caxon Dixon – Busia County.
- Upcoming Model of the year – leah Namusasi – Bungoma County
Bungoma County Chief Officer in the department of Youth and Gender, Saphia Awil, was the Chief guest. Other special guests included Namalwa Chesoli who is theFounder Joysmart Ventures and Immecur Ingosia, who is an Enterprenuer and Fashion Enthusiast.
