If there’s one testimony of reselience, hard work, determination and focus in the entertainment industry of Western Kenya, then a story is told of a one Tinny Mutali popularly kown as Choffuri Official.

As he was trying out his comedy career as a joke five years ago, little did he know that a day ould come when his Youtube channel would clock 86,000 subscribers and earn him a deserved living.

With the Youtube culture still far away from gaining roots in Western Kenya during that time, many dismissed Choffuri as a mere joker who would get tired after doing a few short clips and posting them on the channel as well as his Facebook page.

However, consistency kept him right and the comedian started gaining traffic and fanbase with his Bukusu skits and cover songs, attracting over 420,000 followers on his Facebook page.

As expected, his rise to fame acros the country was smilarly met with haters, with many critizing him of sticking to Bukusu language in a digital era where people seem to be communicating in sheng’, English and Kiswahili.

Ironcally, it’s his pick of the Bukusu language to relay his comedy that has garnered him nearly twenty million views on Youtube, making him the most viewed local artist in Western Kenya.

Unfortunately, the artist lost his Facebook page with 0.4 million followers three months ago, something that almost plunged him into depression for while.

As man falls seven times and still rise again, Choffuri has put all that aside and made a huge comeback to launch his own recording label, CF Films.

The private event took place on December 18, 2021, where a couple of his producution crew, supporters and his signed artists were present. One notable thing about Choffuri is that despite all the fame, he has chosen to hold the hands of other upcoming artists and bringing them to the limelight by signing them to CF.
