Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Tim Wanyonyi has promised free education to children in high schools once elected as Governor.
The veteran Westlands Member of Parliament assured all the parents, students and stakeholders in the education sector that he will ensure all kids access free education under the belt of Nairobi City County.
Speaking at a political rally in Kibera on Monday 17th, January, 2022, the coveted legislator insisted on the need to provide basic education to learners especially from the needy families.
“Under my leadership as your Governor for Nairobi County, I will ensure that children from Form One to Form Four access free education to reduce the load on parents,” said he.
Mr. Wanyonyi, who is a great ali to ODM leader Raila Odinga, has already won the admiration of Party Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna who has described him as an ‘unstoppable’ leader who has the future of Kenyans at heart.
“As ODM, we are so proud to have Hon. Tim Wanyonyi as our ODM candidate for the Nairobi gubernatorial position. Tim is an excellent leader who has everything to deliver,” said Sifuna during a meeting in November, last year.

Mr. Wanyonyi also used the opportunity to dismiss reports that he will be paving way for another aspirant, saying he’s not going to step down from the race.
“I want to assure everyone that I will go all the way to the ballot and rescue the residents of Nairobi from shackles of this poverty and no stepping down,” affirmed the ODM die-hard.

Mr. Wanyonyi has received thousands of accolades from friends and foes for being one of the best performing legislators in NG-CDF, giving priority to education.
