The Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) on Tuesday 15th, February, 2022, received a new aspirant for the Bungoma Woman Representative seat.

The 37-year old Naliaka Waswa wa Sinino has expressed interest in vying for the WR seat, hoping to unseat Mama Catherine Wambilianga who has held the position for five years one term now.

Speaking to WakajuanessLive.Com, Ms Waswa stated that she has chosen DAP-K because of it’s transparency and growing popularity across the region ahead of the 2022 general election.

“DAP-K is currently the party of choice and has given some of us an opportunity to present our leadership skills with the people of Bungoma and Keya at large,” said she.

Naliaka, who has been working with Radio Africa for nearly a decade, has expressed confidence that she will clinch the seat because of her appealing track-record both in her profession and charity activities.

Naliaka was welcomed to the party by Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa, who promised her of transparency as well as encouraging her to inspire more masses to join DAP.

The Bachelor of Business Administration holder from the Methodist University of Kenya becomes the latest addition to the growing list of defectors and aspirants seeking election on DAP.

Waswa describes herself as knowledgeable individual with a proven ability to provide timely and effective solutions which meet any business needs and is proven to provide result on time.

“I am a great team player in whatever I do and seeking to elevate the lives of our women and youth to higher levels.”

She has also asked those who have not registered as voters to do so as a vote is the only weapon to eject bad leadership.

Waswa was accompanied by Tongaren Ward legislative aspirant, Namalwa Chesoli who is also vying on DAP-K.

Other leaders who have expressed interests in vying for the seat include the incumbent Catherine Wambilianga who is expected to vie on Ford Kenya ticket, former Woman Rep Dr. Reginalda Wanyonyi, as well as Bungoma County Youth Advisor to the Governor Nancy Kibaba who recently defected from Ford Kenya to ODM.
