Bungoma Superstars Football Club on Saturday 26th, Nov, 2022, received moral boost from ardent supporters ahead of the opening fixture.

Mr. Lukas Otene visited the FKF Division One Zone B outfit to check on the players and donated two football balls to aid in the training sessions.

Speaking at the Bungoma Poster Grounds, Mr. Otene said he and his colleague Mr. Suleiman Wenekeya, were moved by reports that the team is only training with less than two balls after the dilapidation of the other balls that were used during the nullified season.

“We have heard reports that the boys need more balls to help the team prepare for the new season and we felt that as ardent fans and supporters of this talent community Club, it was important to support them with the little that’s available,” said Mr. Otene, who works at Nzoia Sugar Company.

Receiving the balls, team assistant captain Daniel Juma said the boys are happy to receive such a humble gesture from fans, making them feel they are cared for.

“This is an amazing gesture to us and motivates us to work even harder because we feel cared for,” said the striker.

The exercise was attended by the team’s Corporate Affairs Manager Simiyu Wakajuaness .

Bungoma Superstars is expected to kick off their 2022/2023 season against Sunderland Keroche from Naivasha on December 10th, 2022, at Kiwanja Ndege Grounds in Bungoma town.
