The popular Jesus Teaching Ministries (JTM) Church in Umoja estate, Nairobi, has decried efforts by a private developer to grab their piece of land.

In a Memo sent to members of the church, Apostle Manyuru noted that the unnamed developer has started by grabbing the entrance to the church premise, causing a congestion at the location.

“As you all know, the access road to our church is being illegally grabbed, not only from us but from the general public,” said the memo that was shared to this writer on Saturday.

“These actions are putting our safe access to our place of worship at risk. We are at risk of congestion which can be a potential public health risk.”

Apostle Manyuru, who is also linked to the Aviation TV, has asked members of the affected community and church to stand firm and protect the property.

“We must not condone what is happening in our surrounding, the haves are openly stealing from the have-nots.”

He has also asked the brethren to use legal channels provided with the government to solve the land tussle.

“Kindly let’s join hands and engage our government officials on the media to capture their attention to this injustice.

Cases of land grabbing in Nairobi and its environs have been on the rise, with well connected cartels doing everything to reap where they didn’t plant.
