The Movement for Democracy and Growth Party (MDG) has embarked on an aggressive countrywide membership recruitment drive in preparation for the 2027 General Election.

Party Leader and Ugenya MP David Ochieng will kick off the exercise in western Kenya this weekend with delegates’ conventions in Siaya county on Friday, June 14, and Kakamega on Monday, June 17.

In a press release sent to media houses, by tMr. Ochieng stated that the party will conduct branch elections and carry out extensive recruitment in readiness for the election.

“We intend to form the next government and to do that, we need massive countrywide recruitment of new members as well as hold credible grassroot elections,” Mr. Ochieng said.

The party plans to cover at least nine counties in the first phase of its mobilisation programme in the western region.
