Inspired by the words of historical theologian Saint Augustine, “To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him, the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement,” gospel singer Kevin Ager relates his salvation journey to this profound quote.

He encapsulates his experience with Apostle Paul’s letter to the Hebrews, chapter four, verse twelve:

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Although Kevin grew up deeply involved in church and was a God-fearing young man, it wasn’t until 2012 that he made a personal decision to accept Christ into his life. Reflecting on this transformative moment, he relates it to Hebrews 4:12

“For a long time I had been attending church. I was God-fearing, but as time passed, I gained new revelations about salvation. Upon careful reflection of my walk with Christ, my eyes were opened, and I accepted Christ in 2012.” He said

Kevin emphasizes that many churchgoers may not fully understand the Word of God and the intricacies of salvation. He prays for enlightenment so that they may walk a worthy path with God.

Now a dedicated servant of God, Kevin discovered his gift for singing early on and joined the church choir in 2012 to nurture this talent.

Despite financial challenges, he began composing songs during his high school years, nearly giving up due to lack of funds.

Born fourth in a family of seven, Kevin learned patience and dedication, which proved invaluable during the over-decade-long journey to record his first album.

April 2024 marked a significant milestone in Kevin’s music career when he entered the studio to record his debut album titled “Utawala,” featuring six tracks.

Looking ahead, Kevin is focused on his second album, which he began composing earlier this year.

He acknowledges financial constraints as the primary challenge in recording albums, emphasizing the need for patience in awaiting returns on investment and supplementing income through other means.

Kevin eagerly anticipates collaborations with fellow gospel artists to spread the message of the gospel, a calling he passionately embraces.

Kevin’s songs are available on his official YouTube channel.
