The Kenya Football Welfare Association (KEFWA) will be launching the third edition of its digital magazine during this year’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

According to a media invite from the organization, the event will take place at Zetech University’s main campus in Ruiru along Thika Road.

In an exclusive interview with this publisher, Paul Ombati, the media liaison officer at KEFWA, said that the “KEFWA Unzipped” magazine reflects upon the incredible stories of the members of the union who are football players in Kenya.

“We are very grateful for the launch of the KEFWA Unzipped Magazine, which is the third edition and reflects upon the incredible stories of our members, who are football players in Kenya,” Mr. Ombati said.

Ombati further explained that there will be a link for the digital copy, from which anyone can access the magazine.

“We will have a link for the digital copy, which anyone can read and have access to from anywhere in the world. There is a need for these inspiring stories of our athletes to get coverage and mileage as much as possible,” Ombati explained.

Founded in 2011, KEFWA is an independent union for Kenyan professional footballers, committed to protecting the rights and welfare of professional football players in Kenya, who are their members.

The union, headed by James Situma as president, Terry Ouko (Vice president) and Dan Makori ( Secretary General) respectively, offers its members a wide range of services and advice, enabling players to receive an excellent level of representation covering all aspects of the game.

This year’s AGM will be the union’s 12th AGM since its inception.
