A middle-aged woman from Bungoma County has sued lawyer Lumatete Muchai for evading paternal responsibilities.
According to the mother of two, Lumatete approached her and requested for a child from her. Throughout the pregnancy, he has been a responsible father and has been following up the pregnancy issue with the gynaecologist to ensure good health for the foetus.
Things turned south a week to delivery when he requested to quietly be given a child for adoption to an unknown place immediately after birth and when the lady refused, he blocked on all platforms, prompting to to seek legal justice.
Speaking to this writer, the woman, who requested for anonymity for the privacy of the baby, has lamented how the 65-year old lawyer went mute on her after her delivery.
The mother accesses the baby-daddy of duping her to move out of her Sh10,000 rent to a 45k rental apartment which she is now unable to finance due to her financial struggles.
She has since filed the case, but recalling how the man warned her against filing the case, bragging how she would never get justice.
“Since then, my case, which had been filed under certificate of urgency, has been postponed every now and then,” she narrates.
