An internal poll carried out by a section of Central and Rift Valley leaders has tipped former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala to retain his seat as UDA Secretary-General.

According to an exclusive leakage to this publication, a section of uncertain leaders strategizing for the upcoming national election, hired a private pollster to assess the probable outcome of the upcoming national election in UDA

The known pollster is said to have engaged thousands of UDA members across the country, including Sanators, MPs, Women Reps, MCAs, Branch leaders and other grassroot representatives.

According to the 9-day survey, 19,091 out of the 21,372 respondents rooted for Cleophas Malala to retain his seat as UDA Secretary-General, representing 89.33 per cent of the total samples reached.

Without naming the known veteran pollster, the nine poll sponsors have reportedly slowed down their criticisms on Senator Cleophas Malala, whom the survey shows he’d retain his seat as UDA’ SG in the upcoming election.

Data shows that among the pillars of recognition that Malala scored from include his vibrant recruitment strategy across the country that has seen the party burst past 7.4 million registered members, plunging his UDA brigade into a celebratory mood at various public events.

This comes barely weeks after a well-cratafted dispute pitting Sen Malala against his UDA elite section.

“This poll is meant to provide intelligence on whether Central and Rift Valley region is excited with Cleophas Malala being the Secretary-General of Kenya Kwanza Alliance or not,” said a President William Ruto’s source that declined to be quoted for fear of being victimized.

The UDA party enjoys huge following in Central and Rift Valley regions.

Senator Malala is recently on a brief tour in China for a benchmarking program with the Communist Party of China (CPC) where e-commerce and party democracy engagements dominated in the talks.

Since ditching ANC for UDA, the celebrated scriptwriter and stage director has revamped UDA’s image not only at national but also at International platforms, branding the party as one of the best on the African continent.

The poll results, if they will have to be finally published to the public, will mean Mr. Malala remains a darling to millions of UDA diehards, having made brilliant strategies that have kept the party blossoming.

Currently, Mr. Malala is working on a progress to have sister parties in Kenya Kwanza Alliance fold up to join UDA.

ANC have already shown indicators to join UDA, with focus now on Ford Kenya and other parties still in thin lenses.
