In the bustling streets of Bungoma town, amidst the vibrant market stalls, lies the remarkable story of CPA Madesto Waswa, a 32-year-old entrepreneur who defied the odds to establish one of the most successful Audit and Consultancy firms in the country.

Born and raised in Bungoma, Madesto’s journey to success was far from conventional. Starting as a humble vegetables vendor, he navigated through the challenges of life with resilience and determination.

In an exclusive interview with Tamu TV, Madesto shared the inspiring tale of his rise to prominence.

Driven by a passion for business and a thirst for knowledge, Madesto pursued his education diligently, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom).

Despite facing financial constraints, he persevered, fueled by his unwavering determination to succeed.

Madesto’s entrepreneurial journey began with small loans from moneylenders, which he utilized to establish his vegetable vending business.

Over time, he expanded his operations, supplying fresh produce to local learning institutions and earning the trust of prominent figures like Township MCA Jeremiah Kuloba, who became one of his farm produce suppliers.

However, fate had other plans for Modesto when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, requiring urgent medical attention.

Determined to save her life, he diverted half of the Ksh30,000 trade loan from the County Government of Bungoma to finance her treatment in early 2017.

Undeterred by setbacks, Madesto channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into establishing Madesto Waswa Associates, an audit and consultancy firm that provides comprehensive services in tax handling, business management and legal aspects.

Through strategic partnerships and innovative marketing strategies, he quickly gained traction, securing notable clients like Kibabii High School and Nzoia Sugar Company Ltd.

Madesto’s commitment to empowering others is evident in his involvement in community initiatives, such as the upcoming Trade Fair at KMTC Grounds in Bungoma town.

Through this event, he aims to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with invaluable insights and resources to navigate the complexities of business ownership.

As he continues to inspire others with his journey, Madesto emphasizes the importance of chasing one’s dreams, learning from failures and seeking guidance from seasoned mentors.

His story serves as a testament to the transformative power of resilience, determination, and unwavering faith in oneself.
