Aspiring Isiolo North Member of Parliament Mwenda Thuranira on Tuesday unveiled his manifesto.
Thuranira kicked off his rally from Maili Tatu all the way to Isiolo town, with stop overs at Mukuu, Kasarani Market and Moti Plaza respectively.
A multitude of people followed behind a man who wears many hats, a philanthropist, an entrepreneur, an investor and a Politian, Hon. Mwenda Thuranira.
The day marked the unveiling of Mwenda’s manifesto to the people of Isiolo and proceeded immediately after his endorsement by the Nchuri Ncheke from a weeks’ time.
Cattle Rustling
Mwenda expressed that his manifesto addresses the concerns and grievances the citizens of Isiolo continue to raise daily.
Mwenda highlighted the constant conflicts that arise and led to disunity in the community. He promised that all leaders of different communities and elders will have barazas on a monthly basis to resolve the long existing conflicts when voted into parliament.

Mwenda pointed out that areas with conflicting issues will settle their disputes, finally. He praised the power of communication amongst people and assured them that Isiolo is home to all families thus the need to respect and live harmonious together.
Business
Mwenda revealed that most of the citizens living in Isiolo are pastoralists. The major conflicting factor being cattle. He showed interest in prioritizing development in the pastoralism sector by explaining how meat can be processed, packaged, and exported around the world.
Mwenda said that this plan will keep off brokers from invading into the market and pastoralists will be able to make good profit from their businesses.
Education
He also notified the citizens about the student management systems that his team has developed. This system will ensure that bursary infringement is evaded by having bursaries go direct to school accounts.
Mwenda urged all people to be united to experience immense infrastructural development in Isiolo.

He championed the desire he has for change with his slogan “Mambofresh” Mwenda emphasized that he has advocated for empowerment and creation of opportunities to citizens by sponsoring students, buying school uniforms, and taking youths to Karumo college for further studies.
Security and Distribution of resources
Mwenda assured citizens of regional security and cohesion during his campaign. He advocated for equitable distribution of resources in Isiolo, a factor he says to have been neglected for a very long time.
He ensured citizens that he would accomplish all his manifestos to the end. Mwenda popularized his slogan that demonstrates new things being put into place to come out with best results.

He finally guaranteed the people of Isiolo change, a change that all people need.
Hon. Muthaura Kiome, the former MP of Isiolo North, urged citizens to vote for Mwenda during the rally.
“His values, character and heart to help people is true definition of leadership,” said Mr. Kiome.
