ODM Leader Raila Odinga returns to Western Kenya on Friday 1st Dec, 2023, for a series of political activities aimed at rejuvenating the Orange Democratic Movement.

ODM’s Director of Communications Phillip Etale has revealed this development while speaking on Mumbo FM in Bungoma on Thursday.

“Hon. Odinga will launch the ODM Membership recruitment drive in Shinyalu Constituency at Khayega grouds in the morning before heading Lurambi Constituency at Bukura grounds for a similar exercise,” Etale stated.

The much anticipate visit to Lumakanda in Lugari Constituency has been postponed to a later date. This is because of the request by the Hon. Odinga to have him create enough time to spend in Lugari and engage with the local people. A new date for the Lugari visit will be announced later.

The ODM party launched the membership recruitment drive early this month in Siaya County and the exercise has been launched in various counties across the Nyanza region.

On Monday 4th December, Mr. Odinga and the ODM brigade will be in Busia County for the launch of membership recruitment drive in Busia town.

Busia is the currently the leading county in terms of ODM membership followed by Homabay County at position two.

Hon. Odinga’s visit to Western region is aimed at strengthening the party and connecting with the masses.

In the August 9th 2022 presidential election, the region voted overwhelmingly for Mr. Odinga and will be visiting to say Thank You to the people.
